Hebron University Implements Archeological Excavation For the Fourth Year In a row

For the fourth year in a row, the Department of Tourism and Archeology at Hebron University conducted  a training archeological excavation for the students of the Department. The  Khirbet Al-Dhahdhah  was selected  to conduct the excavation in it. This was in coordination of the Public Antiquities Department in Hebron. The  first excavations  in the site revealed a layer which gave the history  of the Byzantine period  by relying on some  archeological findings and evidence which give the history of that epoch. Excavation is going on in the site  to disclose the  function of the place by relying on  the primary reports which   indicate the  possibility of the existence of  service industrial  facilities such as wells, presses and aqueducts.

Dr. Adnan Abu-Dayyeh, Mr. Muhammad Al-Adharbeh  and the students of the Archeology Department in the University participated in the excavation process.
