Hebron University Implements Archeological Excavation For the Fourth Year In a row
For the fourth year in a row, the Department of Tourism and Archeology at Hebron University conducted a training archeological excavation for the students of the Department. The Khirbet Al-Dhahdhah was selected to conduct the excavation in it. This was in coordination of the Public Antiquities Department in Hebron. The first excavations in the site revealed a layer which gave the history of the Byzantine period by relying on some archeological findings and evidence which give the history of that epoch. Excavation is going on in the site to disclose the function of the place by relying on the primary reports which indicate the possibility of the existence of service industrial facilities such as wells, presses and aqueducts.
Dr. Adnan Abu-Dayyeh, Mr. Muhammad Al-Adharbeh and the students of the Archeology Department in the University participated in the excavation process.
