Hebron University Holds a Lecture On Studying In The United States Of America
Hebron University with the cooperation of the American Consulate and the AMIDEAST held a lecture on studying in the United States of America. A number of faculty members and University students attended the lecture. Mrs. Maureen Marroum specialist in academic exchange at the American Consulate in Jerusalem , Mr. Patrick Tolo official of the visa section at the Consulate and Mrs. Sanaa’ Tayyim from the AMIDEAST talked in this lecture.
The participants during the lecture talked about the reality of higher education in the United States of America, what most distinguishes studying in the USA concerning high quality of education, the availability of different specializations which has the international character in being multiple and comprehensive , providing the suitable environment for studying and finding different educational resources such as developed scientific media, laboratories, libraries and others.
The lecturers emphasized how to choose the suitable university for every student through making sure that the university is accredited and offers the specializations which the student desires and the importance of the availability of the academic staff and scientific efficiency. They indicated the conditions which should be available in the student who wishes to study including the documents pertaining to the student and submitting the application form to the university in the proper way.
The guests then met with the President of the University Prof. Dr. Ahmad Atawneh. The two parties discussed the possibility of joint cooperation between Hebron University , the American Consulate and the AMIDEAST in the different academic domains in order to develop higher education in Palestine.
