A Delegation from the American Consulate Visits Hebron University

A delegation from the American Consulate in Jerusalem composed of the Regional English Language Officer, Kay Davis, Salwa Rihani from the American Consulate in Amman, May Barghouthi from the American Consulate in Jerusalem, and the Cultural Affairs Officer in Jerusalem, Cynthia Harvey, visited Hebron University and met Dean of Arts, Dr. Salah Shrouf, who welcomed the delegation and informed them about the combined activities between the English Department and the American consulate General. The members of the delegation discussed with the Chairperson of the English Department Dr. Mohammed Farrah and the faculty members of the English Department future activities such as holding workshops, conferences and the possibility of hosting English language teaching experts, in order to enhance and support the programs offered by the English Department. It was agreed to hold a workshop to hold a one week workshop for the Bachelor students as well as the MA students in the Applied Linguistic and Teaching methods program. The workshop will be held in April 2011.
