Hebron University Highlights Digital Strategies Boosting Palestinian Narrative at Istanbul Conference
The Department of Media at Hebron University took part in a scientific conference in Istanbul hosted by the Palestine Forum for Media and Communication under the theme "The Palestinian Narrative: A New Phase."
Professor Salah al-Din Abu Hassan presented his paper, "Digital Tools in the Service of the Palestinian Narrative: An Advanced Position Despite Dominance." His work examined how the Palestinian narrative thrives on social and digital media by employing innovative strategies to overcome challenges.
He also critiqued the role of five major American tech companies in restricting Palestinian content. Despite these biased constraints, which favor the Israeli narrative, the Palestinian message broke through—driven by the inherent justice of its cause and the steadfast commitment of its advocates.
Notably, the two-day conference attracted over six hundred academics, journalists, and worldwide activists, who engaged actively via social media.
