Hebron University participates in international Programming Competition ACM at Arab and African universities' level

The College of Information Technology at Hebron University participated in the International Competition for Programming at the Level of Arab and African Universities (ACM-ACPC 2022) as part of the international programming competition held in Luxor, Egypt, from 06-02 December. About 200 teams from various universities in Arab and African countries were qualified to participate in the competition out of 5,000 teams.

The team was represented by the students (Luma Hafez, Mohammed Al-Sharawi, and Mohammed Al-Sharif) under the supervision of Mr. Amjad Husseini. The team, CodeKnights, was able to solve 5 software issues in record time and came 59 among the participating teams.

This competition aims to develop students' software capabilities, develop students' abilities in how to manage software teams, think, plan to solve problems collectively and open new global horizons for them. This participation is the largest and oldest software competition in the world, founded in 1970 and held annually under the supervision of the ACM Automated Computing Association.

Reflecting the vision of His Excellency Dr. Nabil Al-Jabari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the College of Information Technology represented by its Dean Dr. Muhannad Al-Jabari and the head of the computer department, Dr. Khalil al-Masri, emphasizes its full support for such distinctive scientific activities as they have positive effects on the personality of students.
