Project Summary

The core activity of the project is a highly developed Jean Monnet Module on the European Union taught at Hebron University at the College of Law and Political Science in order to encourage research and specialization in the EU among the students. In addition to the academic university course itself the module project includes the implementation of several public academic conferences on the EU and the Arab world to be held at HU. Moreover, several field trips to related institutions are conducted during it implementation phase.

Project Summary
 

PEACE project is an Erasmus+ project that falls under the Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE) category. The project seeks to support the modernization, accessibility, and internationalization of HEIs in Palestine.

The project seeks to achieve the following specific objectives:

  1. Develop researchers' skills and capabilities on conflict resolution and reconciliation.
  2. Strengthen strategic partnerships and networking with leading conflict resolution centres, political strategists and institutions.
  3. Promote interdisciplinary research related to conflict resolution and reconciliation (e.g.  conflict resolution, policy, political science, international relations, politics and law, etc.).

HiCure Project

Title: Development of Health Informatics integrated curricula in Computing and Health-oriented undergraduate degrees (HiCure) 


Brief project description

The project outcomes will be applied in two mid-income south Mediterranean countries, Palestine and Jordan (and possibly Egypt), and involve three-five European member estates: UK, Sweden, Germany, Turkey and Portugal.


The specific objectives of this project are:

  • to develop a health-informatics and related information technology focused set of courses as a net track that integrates with a number of undergraduate degrees to serve students in computing/computer science, public health, pharmacy and nursing.
  • to develop mechanisms and related training material appropriate for each of the different domains to meet with one integrated objective of applied use of health-informatics methods and information technology tools within the respective domain.
  • to develop a sustainable unit within involved local higher-education institutions with developed experts that are able to sustain and provide continual training.
  • To develop a project dissemination framework that engages wider HEIs and local related governmental and non-governmental organisations and stakeholders through workshops, conferences at both local and regional levels.
