The Department of Education and Psychology was founded in 1983, and was one of the departments of the College of Arts. With changes in the program and the increasing number of students, the department became the College of Education in 1999/2000 which currently includes two departments:

• Department of Psychology which grants a BA in Guidance and Counseling
• Department of Foundations of Education which includes Elementary and Preparatory Teacher programs and eight different methods of teaching programs are available : Mathematics, Arabic language, English language, Science, Technology, Religious Education, and Social Studies.
