Abstract:
The study aimed  at investigating the degree of using creative thinking teaching strategies by teachers in teaching gifted students in Jordan. The study sample consisted of 245 teachers of Jubilee and King Abdullah II for Excellence Schools out of 346 teachers in the scholastic year 2016/2017). A scale was used to investigate the degree of teachers' use of the selected strategies. The researchers verified the validity and relaibility of the instrument. The results of the first question have shown a moderate use of these stratigies, while the second question has shown that there were statistically significant differences due to experience in favor of experienced teachers of (5-10 years) or more than 10 years compared those ones of less than 5 years of experience. Concerning gender, the results were in favor of females in some creative thinking strategies. A number of recommendations were made, notably the call to study the relationship between teachers' use of these strategies and the scientific qualification of teachers in addition to the need to pay attention to the impact of experience and its activation through peer visits and training of teachers on the subject strategies through courses and workshops.
