Hebron University - Continuing Education

The Department was established in 1999 to make education more accessible to the public, and to provide the public and private sectors with well- trained and qualified graduates and trainers according to the needs of the local and regional market.

Vocational education is one of the most important pillars of the programs offered by the Department of Continuing Education and Community Development. Since its establishment, the department has been developing professional programs that meet the needs of the market and open opportunities for students, who have not been fortunate enough to enroll in Palestinian universities, to obtain vocational education that will enable them engage in the labor market.

The Department of Continuing Education and Community Development include the following administrative departments:

  •  The Centre for Rehabilitation and Empowerment.
  • Continuing Education.

 

The Centre for Rehabilitation and Empowerment.

One-year professional diploma programs are offered. At the end of the program, students receive a professional diploma accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.  The Centre offers 10 accredited specialized professional diploma programs. The period required is usually extended over a time span of one year. These programs are:

  • Hebrew language
  • Medical Secretariat
  • General Secretariat
  • General Management
  • Book-keeping
  • Training of Trainers
  • Guidance & Counseling
  • Food Processing
  • Librarian Assistant
  • Maintenance of Office Equipment

Entry requirements

The minimum required General Matriculation Exam score (Injaz) is 50.

 

Continuing Education

Providing training programs and courses – based continuing education target all sectors of society, especially graduates and employees.

The training programs implemented by continuing education are sought to incorporate the skills of those enrolled that the labor market needs. Some programs aim at the development of the performance of employees in the public and private sector. As the local market is constantly evolving, continuous training is required for employees to keep on track with the current developments.  Courses include:

  • Tourism and Travel (certified by Amadeus)
  • Public Speaking
  • Training for the IELTS Exam
  • Book-keeping practical training
  • Turkish
