Hebron University hosts the Malaysian astronaut and his colleagues

Hebron University hosted the first Malaysian astronaut Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor and his colleagues, which included a number of doctors, businessmen and some lecturers in Malaysian universities.

Guests were welcomed by Dr. Amjad Shihab, director of Public Relations Department at the University and they were given detailed explanation about the stages of development of HU and the challenges and difficulties facing the University.

After that a short video about the University reviewing its development and its future plans. Attendees discussed the possibilities of cooperation between HU and Malaysian Universities through student and academic exchange programs.

It is worth mentioning that the astronaut Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor is a Malaysian Muslim and an Orthopedic Surgeon of an Arab descent.

Mr. Shukor ascended to the International Space Station in the research mission of the Malaysian government in 2007, during which he experimented on cancers of liver, blood and crystallization of proteins and microbes.
