Hebron University commemorates the 23 anniversary of the martyrdom of the Artist Naji Al-Ali.
The Deanship of the Students ِAffairs conducted an artistic exhibition for the paintings of the Palestinian artist and cartoonist Naji Al-Ali in coordination with the Students’ Council and the Students’ Labor Front. The opening was attended by the Dean of the Students ِAffairs, Dr. Yousef Manasrah and some other public figures from the governorate.
This exhibition comes on the occasion of the 23 remembrance of the assassination of artist Naji Al-Ali. The Exhibition was held at the Students’ Activities Building. In his address, Dr. Manasrah stressed the importance of organizing such exhibitions as they contribute to increasing the awareness of the students’ revolutionary culture that Al-Ali captured and expressed in his drawings. These paintings embody the Palestinian scene at the moment. Mr. Badran Jaber, the exhibition visitor, expressed his admiration of the exhibition and Al-Ali’s arts .He said “This artist resembled a unique case, and proved to be in a pioneering position in his era for understanding the issue in the way he made from it a guiding way”. He added that this exhibition is an opportunity for the revolutionaries and the intellectuals to follow him and search for other programs for national unity. Finally, he thanked the University for hosting these national events.
The exhibition will continue till Thursday, 2 December.
