Introduction

Hebron University has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) -Education to Work Transition Project - Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank for the project entitled: Development and Improvement of Agricultural Practical Courses. This project aims to train about 270 students to become skilled, innovative agricultural engineers through improving the practical-training portions of the Faculty of Agriculture’s BSc courses.
The project focuses on networking with the private sector to sustain a continuous updating of the curriculum and infrastructure of the program and keep it current to the contemporary needs. Accordingly, Hebron University seeks the selection and hiring of a professional Global G.A.P. for Crops & Livestock’s Trainer.

Assignment Objective

Hebron University is now considering the selection of a professional and qualified expert consultant to be part of the consultation team, who will A) deliver  a Training of Trainers for both Animal & Plant Production & Protection” departments academic staff in Global G.A.P. for Crops & Livestock’s, B) Deliver Global GAP training for Corps to the students and graduates of Plant Production & Protection department, C) Deliver Global GAP for Livestock’s training for the students and graduates of Plant Production & Protection department. The provided training aims to upgrade the skills of our staff and qualify them to deliver this knowledge and experience to the students later on, thus, increasing the student’s qualifications to be well prepared for working in their fields.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for conducting the following training Global G.A.P. for Crops & Livestock’s for the following targeted groups:

  1. Plant Production & Protection department Staff & Partners (10 participants)

  • Deliver a Training of Trainees (TOT) training of 30 hours to the chosen participants from the academic staff and the partners of the project.

  1. Plant Production & Protection department students & Graduates. (20 participants)

  • The consultant should submit an action plan for delivering the training, cases and exercises and teaching manuals.

  • Deliver a Training of 20 hours to the participants from the students & graduates.

  1. Animal Production & Protection department students & Graduates. (20 participants)

  • The consultant should submit an action plan for delivering the training, cases and exercises and teaching manuals.

  • Deliver a Training of 20 hours to the participants from the students & graduates.

Deliverables:

 

  1. Action plan for conducting the assignment.

  2. Conduct actual 70 training hours (3o Training hours for TOT for staff, 20 training hours for Plant Production & Protection students, and 20 training hours for Animal Production & Protection students).

  3. Training materials and manuals for the trainees in both (TOT & Students Training).

  4. Cases and exercises necessary for the trainings.

  5. Evaluation Report for the participants and the delivered trainings.


 

Essential Required Qualifications:

The consultant should meet the following qualifications:

  1. At least Bachelor Degree in Agriculture Engineering or related from an accredited University.

  2. Proven experience in training at least for three years for the above requested topic.

  3. Experience or certificates that qualify to deliver the above mentioned topics training.

  4. Excellent communication, writing and networking skills in both Arabic and English.

Level of effort and time frame:

The assignment should be delivered during three stages; this consultation service depends on the approved training plan for each topic submitted by the consultant:

  • Stage 1: Delivering the TOT for the staff and partners of (30 Training hours) divided into 7 training days within 5 weeks.

  • Stage 2: Delivering the training for the students and graduates of (20 training hours) within 4 weeks (GLOBAL GAP for Crops).

  • Stage 3: Delivering the training for the students and graduates of (20 training hours) within 4 weeks (GLOBAL GAP for Livestock)

 

Place of Training: Hebron University.

Contract Type: Lump Sum Contract.

Contract Period: May – MAY 2017
