Faculty
of
AL-Shari'a
The
Faculty of Islamic Studies was the first faculty to be
established at Hebron University. In its initial years,
it served the entire student population throughout
the Palestinian community and presented an opportunity
for Israeli Arabs to obtain a higher education.
The
Faculty is composed of two departments: the Department
of Islamic Law and the Department of Fiqh, which teaches
competence in Islamic Judiciary Law based on Islamic
sources (Quran, Hadith, etc). In addition to taking jobs
in the field of education, graduates have found
employment in religion-related jobs. Although the
Faculty has adopted a modern teaching approach, it has
maintained its connection to tradition and Islamic
culture.
