1. ِAl-Aroub
Agricultural Station: / Plant Production and
Protection Station.
It was established in 1997 at Al-Aroub
site (13 kilometer from the University campus). The
station is supported by modern agricultural machinery
unit and meteorological station. The total area of the
station is about 56 dunums. It includes the following
units:

Fruit trees unit: planted with different
varieties of stone and pome fruits.

Field crops unit: used for planting different
kinds of cereals and legumes.

Vegetable crops unit:
-
Greenhouses unit: about one dunum of plastic
tunnels are used for research and training of
graduate as well as undergraduate students. Several
research projects have been conducted including biological
control of pathogenic fungi; insects and parasitic
weeds; such as early blight control by tricoderma
local isolates; tomato fruit insect by noumaria
local isolates; studies on vegetable leaf miners;
evaluating different tomato cultivars.

Open
field unit: planted with different varieties of
Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Crucifers, and
Leguminaceae crops. This unit is also used for
training of B.Sc students as well as for M.Sc
research.

Grape vineyard: cultivated with more than 20
local cultivars, used for training of B.Sc students
and several M.Sc research have been conducted
including studies on grape berry moth and grapevine
aphid.
2. Zeef Agricultural Station: / Animal Production
and Protection Station.
Located
in Zeef / Yatta town, at the southern part of Hebron
city. The area of the station is about 20 dunums, the
unit contains the structures and equipments needed for
animal production mainly the broilers, sheep and goats,
in addition to the cows.
The unit
used for B.Sc. student's practical courses and for
M.Sc.
student's research.
Additionally a modern meteorological station
and a biogas unit were installed in the station.
3. Research Station for Arid and Semi Arid Area:
This
station located to the East of Yatta town, its area is
about 60 dunums. It is located in the arid to semi-arid
zone, therefore, all research related to the arid and
semi-arid environment was conducted at this station,
such as: rangeland rehabilitation, water harvesting.
