Faculty of
Agriculture:
It
was established in 1987 in response to the community's need for highly trained
professionals with the necessary agricultural engineers qualified to develop and
enhance local agriculture. With its three-pronged objectives of education,
research and community service, the Faculty of Agriculture not only trains
qualified professionals, but also sponsors applied research and conducts
extensive outreach, visiting farmers throughout the Hebron region in order to
answer questions and teach new techniques.
The Faculty of
Agriculture offers programs leading to the B.Sc. degrees in the following
departments:
1. Plant
Production and Protection.
2. Animal
Production and Protection.
3. Soil Science
and Irrigation.
4. Nutrition and Food Technology.
5. Agricultural
Economics and Extension.
In addition, the
faculty offers two programs leading to M.Sc.
degrees in
1. Plant Protection.
2. Natural Agricultural Resources and
Sustainable Management.
Furthermore, our graduates are accepted as members of the Arab Agricultural
Engineering Association in addition to Jordanian as well as Palestinian
Agricultural Engineering Associations. |
