The
Faculty of Agriculture offers five programs leading to
the B.Sc. degrees in addition to two programs leading to
M.Sc. degrees as the following:
First :
the B.Sc. Programs :
1. Plant Production and Protection (1990) :
Graduates of this program are qualified to help develop
and share technology with farmers working in the plant
production and protection sectors, including field
crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and green houses.
Graduates are equipped to conduct diagnoses and
management of plant diseases and pests. In addition,
graduates are prepared to conduct applied research and
to carry out extension activities to solve problems
faced by those working in plant production and
protection sectors.

2. Animal Production and Protection (1995) :
Graduates
of this department are qualified to share in development
and transfer technology to farmers. In addition,
graduates are prepared to conduct applied research to
solve problems facing livestock sectors.

3. Soil and Irrigation (1997) :
Graduates of this department are qualified to help
develop and transfer technology in fertilization and
irrigation to farmers in the plant production sectors,
including field crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and
green houses. Graduates are familiar with the
management of irrigation systems. In addition,
graduates are prepared to conduct applied research and
to solve the problems facing the plant production sector.

Course Description
4. Nutrition and Food Technology :
This was the first program of its kind to be established
in Palestine. Graduates of this program are experts in
food technology and human nutrition. They are prepared
to supervise food manufactories such as dairy
processing, food processing and preservation and
vegetable and fruits canning. In addition, graduates
are equipped to supervise nutrition for hospitals,
hotels, schools and universities.
