This facility conducts research into the industrial waste water
pollution. Waste water from olive oil industry
(olive-oil mills) and from tanning industry (tanneries)
has been studied. The center is also concerned with
studying the concentrations of insecticidal, toxic and
drug residues in the sources of water and food, in blood
plasma and in animal production.
The center also plans to measure air pollution and its
composition in certain locations in Hebron in order to
take appropriate measures regarding productivity
increase, plant and animal production, and environmental
concerns (garages, industry workshops, factories and
hospitals). |
